At All For Paws Nepal, we believe lasting change comes from prevention, education, and community action. Through large scale vaccination campaigns, humane sterilization programs, community animal healthcare, veterinary services, and public awareness initiatives, we work to improve the lives of community animals while building healthier and safer communities across Nepal.
Every campaign we organize is designed with a long-term goal in mind: reducing preventable suffering, improving public health, and creating a society where people and animals can coexist with compassion and respect.
Our Story
From Two Friends in a Pandemic to a Nationwide Movement
In 2019, as the world came to a sudden halt during the global pandemic, the streets of Nepal fell silent. But for the country's community animals, the silence meant something else: starvation. With restaurants closed and streets deserted, countless animals were left with no way to survive.
Seeing the crisis unfold, Dr. Gehendra, who was still a veterinary student at the time, knew he couldn't sit still. Armed with his growing medical knowledge and a deep love for animals, he stepped out onto the empty streets to feed hundreds of starving dogs and community animals. Day after day, week after week, he kept them alive.
He wasn’t alone for long. Sensing the urgency of the situation, his friend Sapan Rai, a social work student, joined the mission. Sapan brought a vital perspective to the team,understanding how human communities and animal welfare are deeply interconnected. Together, as a simple two-man team, they realized that feeding was just the beginning. The animals of Nepal needed a voice, a shield, and a permanent advocate.
That was the spark that created All For Paws-Nepal.

Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of Nepal's community animals through preventive healthcare, organized welfare campaigns, veterinary services, and community engagement.
By expanding access to vaccination, humane sterilization, medical treatment, education, and responsible animal care, we work to prevent suffering before it occurs and create healthier communities for both animals and people.
Our Vision
We envision a Nepal where every community animal has access to compassion, healthcare, and protection.
A future where preventable diseases are controlled through widespread vaccination, populations are managed humanely through sterilization, communities understand the value of coexistence, and no animal is left to suffer because essential care is unavailable.
Looking ahead, we aim to strengthen Nepal's animal welfare infrastructure by establishing a specialized sanctuary for disabled community animals and a dedicated animal cremation facility creating long term solutions that benefit animals, communities, and the environment alike.

OUR APPROACH
Solving Problems Before They Become Crises
Many animal welfare organizations focus primarily on responding to emergencies after suffering has already occurred.
Emergency response remains important, and whenever possible we assist animals in need or coordinate with trusted partner organizations to ensure they receive appropriate care.
However, our primary focus is on preventing suffering before it happens.
Through vaccination campaigns, humane sterilization programs, community animal healthcare, education, and collaboration with local communities, we address the root causes of many animal welfare challenges rather than only their consequences.
This preventive, community-centered approach allows limited resources to create broader and more sustainable impact for both animals and people.
